In Korea
Well we are in Korea. We got here without incident other than a really long flight. We got to our hotel only to find they did not have our reservation. Well after a few tourtured minutes it was worked out and we are spending our first night in Korea in the penthouse. I will update with more information and pictures once i get some sleep.

Going to Korea
Well about 11:30 I got a call at work from Heath saying that he just got our travel call. It felt like years before the adoption agency called me back. Finding flights was difficult as this is peak travel season but we got the last three seats on a full flight both ways. The seats are not together but we will see what we can do about that. Especially since I am traveling with my 10 year old niece (who has never flown) and her mom. We will do all we can to have them re-seat us so that she can sit with one of us.
So a week from Thursday I will be on my way to meet Andrew!!!!!

Mothers Day
Today was wonderful and difficult. Wonderful because I have a fabulous daughter who words cannot express how much I love her and what she means to our family. Difficult because this is my first mothers day without my mother. Mee-maw passed away on 1-28-10. She was wonderful and loved her grandkids sooooo much. The other reason it is difficult is because Andrew is so far away from home. Mee-maw was excited about him coming home and now will never meet him on this earth. We love Andrew so much even though we have not yet met.
Mee-maw and Mindee several days after we brought Mindee home from Korea. We miss you Mee-maw.....
To Andrew,
Mommy is coming as soon as I can. I know that you are in a foster family that loves and cares for you, but you are loved here too. I can't wait to hold you, hug you, kiss you, laugh at your silliness, dry your tears. I can't wait to see you play with your sister and laugh with your daddy. You are missed and you are loved.
You won't understand when we take you from your omma and appa, but you will learn to know that you are loved and you will be surrounded by family that will never leave you. You will sometimes make bad choices, you will sometimes be mad at me. Even in the worst times I will love you. I will not be perfect either, but we will learn together. God is putting our family together and you belong with us.
Hang in there mommy is coming

Updated Picture

I can't believe how big our boy is getting. I am so excited and so sad. I love getting updates, but they remind me what I am missing out on. However I know that he is loved and cared for. I want my boy home. I love him so much. I love seeing him him with the things we bought for him. I know now that he can hear us tell him we love him.....

Garage sale next weekend
Well we are in fundraising mode. We have been preparing and will be working this weekend on getting a garage sale together for the 27th of March. We are hoping that it will bring in good money for our adoption. We have a good amount of stuff to sell and are not going to price items. We will sell by donation and let people know what the money goes to. It will be work getting set up and such but will hopefully pay off. I will post pictures along and will update when we know how much we made....

Andrew's package

I also wanted to mention that in addition to our paperwork being mailed we also put together a care package that we sent to Andrew. It included a small blankie that Mindee chose, a photo book, an outfit, and a puppy that Mindee helped to make at the build a bear place the puppy also has a "voice box" that we recorded with our voices each of us saying "we love you". We also included a tote bag and kitchen towels for Foster Mom.
Fundraising
Well I wanted to leave a note and let people know that I added two links today. They are to our coffee store and to our 100 good wishes page. I hope that these sites can help us to get a portion of the funds to help us bring Andrew home. If you are inclined, check them out. If you already have please know that your support (even prayer support) is greatly appreciated. I will try to update frequently on our progress.

Introducing Andrew
We are starting our journey to our little boy. We discovered him on a waiting child page and, just as with our daughter, fell in love. We reviewed his file and were matched on 12/3/2009, the day he turned 15 months old. Our paperwork was sent off to both USCIS and our adoption agency this past Monday and now the painful wait really begins. They say it can be 4 to 6 months from this point but could be longer. We want him home yesterday. So now it is time to plan fundraisers and work to get him home as quick as we can.
